❤️ Hello

Hello Mitte

Mitte is the most central of Berlin's neighborhoods, and one of just three districts which include the former east and west Berlin; Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg are the others. Mitte is also home to the vast majority of Berlin’s sights. Museum Island, the Reichstag, the courtyard shops and restaurants of Hackeschen Hofe, the green lung of Berlin’s Tiergarten…the list goes on. Running north to south is the Friedrichstrasse shopping street, while the east-west boulevard Unter Den Linden leads to the majestic Brandenburg Gate.

It’s also in Mitte that you may experience one of Berlin’s most historically charged experiences. The concrete slabs of the Holocaust Memorial are a haunting reminder of a brutal episode, and the museum is no less powerful. For a sense of Berlin’s changing cityscape, book tickets for Fernsehturm tower, south of Alexanderplatz. Considered an eyesore by some, and more fondly as a 1960s architectural relic by others, the views over Berlin are a winner.
