❤️ Hello

Hello Rome

St. Peter's Basilica, Michelangelo's painted ceiling in the Sistine Chapel, Spaghetti Alla Carbonara – Rome is the master of masterpieces. From an architectural, artistic, and culinary perspective, the capital of Italy and former de facto capital of the world is simply a joy to behold. Crowds gather around the Pantheon and the Colosseum to capture a glimpse of the city's illustrious history, but you can see relics of its ancient past elsewhere, too. Hunt down the Arch of Gallienus or the Domus Aurea and you'll not only find yourself away from the camera-happy crowds, but you'll also discover a pair of intriguing Roman monuments. Relaxing and taking the time to enjoy the wonderful food and drink is just as important as seeing the sights. Follow your nose to find the best places to eat, but most importantly follow the locals. You'll see and hear many of them dining in Trastevere, where noisy, family-run pizzerias sit happily alongside restaurants at the cutting edge of Rome's culinary scene. Enjoy the coffee, as well – but remember that in Italy, you're only supposed to drink cappuccinos in the morning!
